Just this week I came back from Accra, Ghana, where I was asked to speak at the African Business Leaders Forum. It was an amazing experience, not just from a cultural perspective, but from a business and networking one, as well.
As I thought about what I might share with you from this experience, four tips for successful business networking came to mind. In this brief video, I’ll share four things I did that you can use to improve your own networking and connecting skills.
Are distractions at work destroying your productivity? Consider these questions:
- How many times would you guess you’re being interrupted in an average hour?
- What would you say is the most common source of those interruptions?
In this brief video, I talk about the number one most common cause of workplace distraction and a simple system you can use to take control of it.
Would you like more sales? More referrals? Better reviews from customers? More loyal employees? A happier, more productive workplace?
Of course you would. As a business owner or executive, you’re always looking for the best way to improve your business and its bottom line.Yet, are you making full use of the two most powerful words in the world?
In this brief video I discuss the power of Thank You, three areas where these two important words are often overlooked, and what to do about it.
Many business owners and CEOs work very, very hard to achieve ultimate harvest. This is the elusive big “pay day” where they get to relax and finally enjoy the fruits of their hard work and sacrifice.
But what happens when that pay day never seems to come? What if impatience and discouragement sets in? In this video you’ll learn a strategy I work on with my coaching clients to help keep them revitalized and continually motivated to succeed.
Do you know someone who consistently rubs people the wrong way? You know who I’m talking about: the people who don’t just disagree with others, but who are also disagreeable when they do it!
Ben Franklin taught me a great lesson in his autobiography about how to be a more agreeable person. In this brief video, I share Ben’s lesson, a couple of tips you can put to use immediately, and even a simple group activity you can try in your next company meeting.
